Yes. We assist businesses with technical support, installations and equipment purchaes. Our fees depend on the location, hardware, and service by the hour. We can provide service onsite and remotely.
Does EmeraldPOS support other software?

If you require a different platform than what we are currently promoting. We have worked with most of the standard POS systems. Including Quickbooks, Microsoft Dynamics POS, and many highly used PHP softwares like PHPPointOfSales.
Does the software allow for ID printing?

Yes the software does offer the ability to print customer info with barcoded identification on a label/ID/etc. You pick the medium and the hardware. You must do research to find out if your card printer or label printer is supported.

How long does it take to ship hardware?

The shipping varies on the item. If this is a complete setup, with custom software configuration the shipping can take 14 days. But if there is no configuration needed, the shipping can take as little as 4 business days. Please inquire before your order about shipping. It is all on a case by case basis.
Is any of your software compatible with Linux or Apple/Macintosh?

Yes, we offer a modified version of PHP Point of Sale that is a cross platform dispensary software. It is browser based and can be served to any modern browser including browsers on Windows, Macintosh and Linux.
Since the software is free, does that mean it's low quality?

We have a demo on display which is a fully operational version of the software. Please try it out, or down load it and try it on your own system. Emerald POS offers no warranty on any of the software. But we do offer up to 3 year warranties on our hardware.

Why do you give the software away for free?

We have several software options available, some are completely free to use, and some cost money. This is all about preference. We offer QuickBooks POS and Microsoft Dynamics and those software's have a cost. But we also feel that our freeware is sometimes more suited for our customers needs. Since it is customizable opensource software, there is a lot that we can do with it. We use great opensource GNU licensed software called PHPPointOfSale and OpenBravo.. We could choose to charge for the service of modifying the software, or for the service of redistributing it. As per GNU licensing. But we believe in the concept of a community working together, of their own free will to create a better tomorrow for our children. If you want our individual attention, or assistance, then we do charge for this. But the opensource software that we make is free.
